Passing of Jobs
RIP Steve Jobs. His sad passing today became the worlds biggest news story just a day after the iPhone4S launched. Undoubtedly one of the greatest inventors, leaders and entrepreneurs of my lifetime (?), and possibly after Leonardo de Vinci, of all time. From all the peeps I know who love technology and who can’t live without being ‘connected’, I’d like to thank the man for a few things… 1. For the game ‘Breakout’ – one of the first games I played on Atari. 2. For Toy Story, that without Steve would not have been made. 3. For getting some truly great fonts out there (all your fave’s named after American capital cities & Helvetica too!) 4. For all things Apple, Mac, i, pod and pad. 5. For showing us some of the best Keynote preso’s ever. 6. For showing that old wealth is nothing when you can ‘think differently’ & have the ambition to follow your dreams. For anyone who doesn’t like Apple… go suck a lemon. And to the man at the Pearly Gates (which I hope have not yet been bought by Bill Gates), please let him in.
