B&T Best Digital Campaigns of 2009
The digital advertising, marketing, media and PR bible has released its Annual Awards testament to the best of 2009. In there along with the 'Best Job in the World', Lynx 'Party Across the Internet', 'Yellow Treehouse' and 'Whalesong' for Optus was Pusher's Social Media and Digital Campaign for Samboy, ('Samboy is Back!' making 10th spot in B&T's Best Digital Campaigns of the year).
Boonies Movember Montage
Movember was bigger than ever this year thanks to Pusher's mo'montage digital campaign for Schick. The 2009 sponsorship was well paraded with a fully integrated digital campaign. This included the David 'Boony' Boon Mo' Montage application, banners across MySpace and a range of mens sites, a feature on the Movember homepage and a digital street campaign to collect sponsorship photos and donations. Oh yeah, then of course there was the gigantic building size poster hanging outside Circular Quay in Sydney!
The poster features a giant photo-montage of Boonys face made up of the thousands of uploaded faces. Pusher developed the custom built application to allow users to upload a photo, share it with their friends, check out the pic of the week, or create their own 'Manscape' using the shaving application. For every photo uploaded Schick promised to donate $1 to Movember in a sponsorship deal.
MySpace Music Launches in Australia
MySpace Music recently appointed Pusher to produce the digital creative for launch across Australia, following a three-way pitch for the advertising and communications account. The campaign included musical performances by bands modelled out of 3D pixels, which were then animated and streamed as media rich video banners. These banners also supported previously unexperienced functionality with Pusher's dev team who lucky enough to be the first to animate the MySpace music platform side-skins.
The digital creative invited MySpace users and muso's to join the launch for MySpace Music, start their own music collection, come to a free concert, or checkout famous artists and celebrities playlists through the new online application.
Following it's launch in the US last year, MySpace Music's launch in Australia will be followed by it's launch in the UK in early 2010 following the joint venture between EMI, Warner, Sony, Universal Music and independents with Merlin.
